Every twelve years a new cycle starts. For far over 2000 years, the chinese zodiac cycle has consisted of twelve signs, each represented by an animal. The rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. Why those animals, it's such a strange combination? No one really knows the origin, but its been around for as long as written texts and evidence tell us. They are the chinese zodiac. But there's much more the the story. There is said to be five natural elements, balancing out the world in which we live. Water, fire, earth, wood, and metal. Wood parts Earth ; Earth absorbs Water; Water quenches Fire; Fire melts Metal; Metal chops Wood. A never ending cycle. Everything always balanced eachother out. Nothing ever overpowered eachother, but remained in neutral position. Yin and Yang, good and evil, dark and light, venus and mars. Everything was balanced. Until it wasn't. In the early years of AD, everything was thrown out of proportion. Evil somehow gained control, throwing off the force of balance that used to be. In turn, the zodiacs were activated. The prophecies came true; twelve people, each with the power of their ruling zodiac, were chosen by destiny to seal away the evil and restore the balance. And they were successful. They did their job and sealed away the evil. They continued to battle evil as time passed. Eventually their generation faded away and years passed. For thousands of years, there was no need for the zodiacs. The world continued to have an opposing force of good and evil. Until the side of evil once again took control. In the year AD 2009, the zodiacs were needed once again. Twelve people with the power of their ruling zodiac were called upon to save the world from inbalance. Rat. Ox. Tiger. Rabbit. Dragon. Snake. Horse. Ram. Monkey. Rooster. Dog. Pig. Each one with a specific power, bringing balance to their team.
