Character History (if vampire): Jasper Hale (born Jasper Whitlock) is the adopted son of Carlisle and Esme, adoptive brother of Edward, Emmett, and Rosalie, and husband of Alice. He was born in Texas and joined the Confederate States Army in 1861 to serve in the Civil War. Due to his extremely charismatic personality, he ascended through the ranks quickly.
Jasper was turned into a vampire in 1863 by a vampire named Maria when he was 20 years old. As a vampire, he gained the ability to manipulate the emotions of those around him. Recognizing his high rank in the army, Maria decided to change him into a vampire to help her claim territory in Monterrey. Jasper's responsibility was to train young vampires and then kill them when they were no longer useful (about a year after their transformation- when their strength began to fade).
After about a century of this, he grew weary of the lifestyle and joined an old friend, Peter, and his mate Charlotte. Jasper left the two eventually, not wanting to feed on humans because he could feel his prey's emotions as they died. Alice, foreseeing that they would be together, met him in a half-empty diner in Philadelphia, and together they sought out the Cullen family. During their companionship and travels, they soon fell in love and were later married.
Due to his past, where he was able to feed on humans whenever he chose, Jasper lacks strong self-control. He is described as tall with honey blond hair, and is muscular but lean and is physically 20 years old. His body is covered with crescent-shaped scars, after the many years of fighting and training newborn vampires.
In Twilight, Jasper accompanies Alice and Bella when they are hiding from James. He uses his ability to calm Bella when she is stressed or afraid. In New Moon, he attacks Bella after she gets a paper cut, prompting the Cullen family to leave Forks to protect Bella. In Eclipse, Jasper teaches the werewolves and vampires fighting techniques to defend themselves against newborn vampires. In Breaking Dawn, Jasper leaves with Alice to find a vampire-human hybrid, and returns with her to defend Renesmee from the Volturi.
Character Appearance: Jasper is 6'3" and has golden honey blond hair. He is muscular but lean. Like the other Cullen's, he has pale, marble-like skin and bruise-like purple shadows under his eyes, which appear gradually as his thirst increases. He has golden eyes, like all animal-feeding ("vegetarian") vampires, which turn darker, eventually becoming black, as he grows thirstier. He has many crescent-shaped scars on his arms from the bites of vampires he fought on Maria's behalf. The white scars are invisible unless contrasted by a strong light, and then only because they are slightly raised against his skin and cast a shadow.
Personality: Shy (mostly because he has trouble with his vegetarian diet) but charismatic and has a strong love for Alice.
RP sample: Jasper took a deep UN-needed breath as he walked into the school that morning. He could done feel the teenage hormones and already felt the venom production in his mouth pick up. Jasper walked down the hall trying to ignore each and every longing no craving for blood that washed though his body and seemed to pulse from his very veins. Jasper didn't want to give in to the monster side of him and refused to. Jasper had been hunting just the night before and if he tried he could almost ignore the need. The smell of the blood was temping and there heart beat seemed to be playing games with his control but he had to try.
Jasper blocked out the feelings of love, lust, depression, envy, and hyperiness as he walked down the hall. The seemed to cloud around him telling him that she is heartbroken and he's the heart breaker because of all his guilt when he looks at her. The emotions played like a soap opera and helped him ignore the thirst. Jasper thought it was like watching a play. He let himself be more affected by the emotions but only enough to help calm his crazy blood lust. He walked into his classroom and sit down. It was funny almost when the girls begin to gossip but in another way it was sad that they had to gossip all the time. Jasper's extra sensitive hearing picked up every word but he didn't show it. He was to busy trying to use there words to ward off the monster within.
Class dragged on so slow and the teacher was hardily getting anything right. After two hours to the lecture the teacher dismissed class but Jasper decided to wait for everyone else to leave first and those one girl apparently had decided the same. This was collage but the way these girls talked the could have been in sixth grade. Jasper almost felt like asking if they were watching Hannah Montana every afternoon after school but he didn't want any closer to those humans then he had to be. He could hear there hearts quicken every time a guy walked into the room then they would gossip on how 'Date able he was'. Jasper didn't know what to think about the way they were acting.
Finally the girls left and Jasper got up and left the room. Most people had done went to class but after this wild morning Jasper felt he should go hunting. It wasn't like he had not done finished collage several times and being in control of himself his much more important. Jasper walked outside into the cloud covered atmosphere. He walked straight to his car and drove off to find the nearest forest trying not to think about the awful morning. Jasper reached down and picked up his phone and started to dial Alice's number.
