(This is Sarah's application)
characters name (first and last): Bella Swan
gender: female
age: 17 in Twilight, 18 in New Moon
category: human
family: Renee Dwyer, Charlie Swan
character history: born in Phoenix, Arizona, parents divorced, spent one month every summer with her dad in Forks, moved to Forks when her mom got remarried and wanted to travel with her husband
character appearance: long brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, heart-shaped face, pale
strengths/weaknesses: strength-mental shield; weakness-human
personality: responsible compared to her mother, shy
RP sample: the first day of school was horrible, everybody staring at me, people calling me "Isabella" instead of "Bella" and then the really good-looking boy, Edward Cullen. How can I even describe the way he looked at me in biology? The look in his coal-black eyes was of pure-hatred! I've never even met him before in my life, how could he hate me? Well, it must have been something else, before I walked in. Yeah, that's it, something happened in class before I came in, but I still can't help to think that I was the cause for his hatred and anger. Oh, well, it will be all better tomorrow at school, I mean how long can he stay mad? Ugh, stop thinking about him and go to sleep already! I finally drifted into an uneasy sleep.
RP sample: It was raining when I got off the plane in Port Angeles, of course. "I'll just have to get used to it, no more sunny Phoenix." I thought. "Hey Bella!" Charlie waved me over to his car and gave me an awkward one-arm hug. "Hey dad." I couldn't call him Charlie to his face. We talked for a little bit on the way back to Forks. It was an hour-long drive, but it was mostly silent, Charlie was shy like me. When we were talking I found out that my dad got my truck as a homecoming gift. I was surprised, but happy that he got me a truck and that I didn't have to pay for it. When we got back to Charlie's house, a faded-red old truck was parked on the curb, an next to it, Billy Black and his son Jacob. i instantly recognized them even though I forgot who they were when Charlie told me he bought the truck from them. I instantly loved the truck, it was sturdy which was good for me, and it was the type of car that when it got in an accident, it would stand there unharmed, and an Italian sports car would be smeared on the road. When I got out of the car, Jacob walked up to me. "Hey Bella, do you remember me?" "Yes, you're Jacob, it's nice to see you again!" "Hello Bella." Billy's voice was so familiar, I suddenly felt like a child again. "Hey Billy, thanks for the truck." "No problem Bella." "Bella, this truck runs great, I fixed the engine myself!" "You fixed the engine Jacob!" I was surprised that he knew so much about cars. "Yeah, just don't go over 50 miles per gallon, it won't work good, however hard I tried. Also, the engine is really loud, but the radio works." Jacob was very proud of himself for fixing it. I could here it in his voice. "Well, lets get inside before it rains too hard." Everyone agreed with Charlie and soon we all piled into the small living room. "Why did you come up here? Not that I don't want you here, it's just that we were going to go down to La Push and get the truck from you." "We wanted to bring it up to you" said Billy. "And because are TV broke and dad wants to see the big game tonight!" Jacob added. Everyone laughed. Charlie and Billy watched the game while Jacob and I talked. It was really easy to be friends with him. I didn't feel awkward like I did when I was with other people around my age. Jacob and Billy ate dinner with us, but then they had to leave. It only took me one trip to take my stuff up to my bedroom. I laid down on the tiny bed, and started to cry. I didn't cry that much, but I would tonight when I had to think about the upcoming day:my first day at Forks High School. People would probably stare at me, which was horrible because for one reason, I'm shy, and for another reason, klutz like me don't need any more attention drawn to them. I would probably trip a lot more than usual tomorrow. Great, I despised the day coming up tomorrow. I never had any idea that tomorrow would be so horrible.
