Olivia was in the common room that night after her classes had ended. There was a reason why she was in the common room on a Friday night when everyone else was either out partying it up at a club or party or just hanging out with friends. You see Olivia really did not have any friends there was really only one person that she could call a friend and he was not there at the moment probably off doing something fun. Even though everyone was out having fun she felt like staying in and reading a good book or going up and having a nice bath. Those where her favorite things to do anyway. She smiled as she thought about the book she had in her bag. It was Shakespeare, who she still thought probably was a wizard but everyone had told her he was a muggle.
She snuggled up into the chair as she got comfortable to start reading her favorite book, ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ That had always been her favorite love story/ tragedy. As she was reading thoughts of her friends came up. Which were few and far between. Her main friend being Albus. They had known each other since he started Uni. She smiled as she remembered some of the fun times they had together.
As she put her book down she looked into the fire, she loved being this close to a place for such warmth. It always made her feel good on a cold day. Not what would be even better was that if she had a cup of hot coco next to her. Or if she went up to her room to have a nice bath with a glass of wine. That would make her day and probably even make her week. It did not take much to amuse Olivia. She looked around at the people that were actually spending their time in the common room on a Friday night and wondered why. Did they not have plans or no friends, like she had? She smiled as she caught someone’s eyes. They rolled their eyes and looked away. She really had no idea what she did wrong to anyone so she sighed and looked back into the fire. It was probably because she was so shy and really only kept to herself.
If it was not for Albus then she would probably be a loner in this school, she was really grateful that she had met him when she did. She wondered if they could help each other come out of their shells. She knew that he was really reclusive himself when it came to friends. Not when it came to music or whatnot. That’s probably the only reason that Olivia ever went out was either with him or to see him play. She smiled to herself as she thought about the last time they went out together, it was one of the more pleasant times they spent with each other. And one of her more favorable memories of her time here at the UofH. She would probably never have a friend as good as him or her friend back home. It seemed that Olivia was just not the type to make friends.
She was reading the last of her book when she heard someone come in. She did not really bother to look up at the moment because she knew that whom ever it was that they were most likely not there for her. She sighed and continued to read until she noticed someone standing in front of her. She groaned and looked up ready to ask the person to move. She was happy to note that the person standing in front of her was none other then Albus Potter himself. She smiled at him and nodded her head. “Hello.” she said, and waited for him to speak to her.
